Immediate needs

Our most pressing and immediate needs are medical supplies and technology to work remotely. The increased and unexpected costs of medical supplies to keep our residential clients and the direct care staff that work with them safe is crippling. In addition, all non essential staff are working remotely and some do not have the technology they need. We appreciate any and all help we receive.

About us United Community Options of Broward, Palm Beach, and Mid-Coast Counties has provided services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 50 years. United Community Options of Broward, Palm Beach, and Mid-Coast Counties was incorporated in 1956 and opened its first program in 1971 serving adults with developmental disabilities by offering information, referral and program support services. The preschool opened in 1973 and followed with the opening of several group homes. Today, United Community Options serves over 1500 people annually with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as typically developing children and provides a wide array of services. At United Community Options it is our belief that each individual we serve is defined by their unique human qualities and not by their disability. We work together to provide a choice of programs and services that nurture the talents and abilities of every child and adult served. We believe in community first! That every person served regardless of the challenges they face are entitled to live in and belong to a community where they are accepted and included with dignity and respect. It is our goal to continuously seek new opportunities and advancements for every person we serve.
