Coalition For Independent Living Options
| About us | The Coalition for Independent Living Options, Inc. (CILO) is a private non-profit, client-directed civil rights organization for children and adults with all types of disabilities. Incorporated in 1990, CILO primarily serves Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties. CILO staff believe all people should have options and be able to choose how they want to live. CILO works with you to develop goals and independent living skills and to break down attitudes and physical barriers in the community, so you can attain your dreams. We promote the Americans With Disabilities Act's core goals of equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency. We support the civil rights of people with disabilities in housing, travel, education, employment, and access to community and public services. The majority of CILO's staff and board have disabilities and share experiences in overcoming barriers and developing the skills to speak up and represent yourself. |
