The Y relies on program registrations, membership dues and donations to operate. The current health crisis has threatened these revenues and resulting services. Our doors closed on March 15 and we are now operating with a skeletal staff of 42 and 400 furloughed. A potential summer closure would have a devastating impact on the Y’s operations and ability to maintain services for the community. Prior to this crisis, 1 out of 4 members were receiving financial assistance totaling $1.7 million.
